Giganotosaurus means “giant southern lizard” , is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived in what is now Argentina, during the Late Cretaceous period, about 98 to 97 million years ago. It is estimated about 12 to 13m (39 to 43 ft) in length, some researchers thought it was the largest theropod and the second largest Carnivorous dinosaur (just smaller than Spinosaurus). As a top predator, Giganotosaurus was thought hunting Argentinosaurus and other large Herbivorous dinosaur as food.
